CURRENT POSITIONS

 

Graphic Designer (Casual)

Bevans Marketing is on the look-out for an interested and energetic Graphic Designer for a minimum of 16 hours per week. The role would suit someone who has professional experience, an existing freelance career or commitments outside of work. The position will start as a casual role, with the opportunity to go full-time for the right candidate as our agency is growing bigger and bigger every day.

Maybe you are already managing other freelance clients and have a vision to build your career in a growing Illawarra-based agency - whatever your strength is we’d love to help you expand your marketing interests into new territories, one action-packed day at a time. 

We are looking for someone with a creative mindset, great initiative, interesting and bold ideas, a great sense of design, and the toolkit to execute things quickly and to deadline.

A well-organised, creative thinker who likes to learn and always improves is what we want.

We can help you figure out the rest. 

 

Tasks and tools of the job

  • Adobe Creative Suite - Experience in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and the vast array of design products and tools. We would like to see your work, show us your best pieces by sending your Portfolio
  • Web Design - You know a good one when you see it, and you have an idea of how they are put together. Wordpress, Shopify, maybe something we've never heard of (we want to learn from you too)
  • Google Suite - Experience in using and creating amazing documents and collateral in Google Suite - G-Drive, Slides, Docs etc.
  • Mailchimp - not afraid of the limitations a drag and drop builder can present? Get in our inbox!
  • Print - While we are always looking to the future, we still use some of the ol’ faithful marketing tricks like print and signage. It would be awesome if you knew how to send your work to printers, signwriters etc.
  • Admin - we’re a small business, so sometimes we all have to wear different hats. The odd meet and greet or conversation with a client is expected, but only every now and then.  

 

Finally, we feel it is important to note that your own creative ideas, initiative and a growth mindset is a big plus. We want the person that seeks out the new and exciting, that wants to know how it has been created and is keen to make something even better.

  • Loves to learn. Either through traditional or non-traditional routes, you are always keen to better yourself and learn more. 
  • Gets it done. You love the feeling of ticking an item off your to-do list.

Digital Marketer

Bevans Marketing is on the look-out for an interested and energetic Digital Marketer for a minimum of 8 hours per week. 

The role would suit someone that has professional experience in a digital marketing role, and maybe manages the digital advertising for a business or two on the side.

We are looking for an explorer. 

Someone who knows how to move with Google, has been to the top of Facebook and witnessed the neverending scrolls of Instagram. A seasoned screen traveller who is always searching for the next undiscovered digital destination. If it’s a digital platform and you can advertise on it, you know about it and what it would take to do it. And if you don’t, you’re damn good at finding out. 

 

Tasks and tools of the job*

  • Google Ads. You know your way around Google Analytics, their advertising suite and how to manage and optimise marketing campaigns. 
  • Facebook Business. You know when social media advertising is the right solution and how to get people off the platform and onto a website. 
  • You know enough to get ads up and running on LinkedIn, AliBaba, Bing, Amazon.
  • Analytics and Insights. We manage clients in a diverse range of industries. The campaigns we create, the dollars we spend, and the promises we make, need to be backed up by sound decision making. Our explorer needs to know which numbers actually matter, what they mean, how we can make them more meaningful and then how to talk about them in a way that isn’t too space-aged (not everyone speaks fluent internet).

*We feel it is important to note that a growth mindset is a big plus and if you can demonstrate your ability and energy to learn and grow then we are keen to talk.

Marketing / Social Media Assistant (Casual)

Bevans Marketing is on the look-out for an interested and energetic marketing assistant for a minimum of 8 hours per week. 

The role would suit someone that is looking to build their professional experience but maybe isn’t ready for the world of full-time work - just yet. 

Maybe you are already managing a social media account for your employer or some local businesses, or maybe you have a keen eye for taking a photo or video - whatever your strength is we’d love to help you expand your marketing interests into new territories, one action-packed day at a time. 

We are conscious that a lot of junior marketing positions ask the impossible of candidates - someone who can do everything exceptionally in a slither of the time. While this role has a diverse set of responsibilities, we are not asking candidates to be master and commander of them all. A well-organised, creative thinker who likes to learn and always improves is what we want. We can help you figure out the rest. 

 

Tasks and tools of the job

  • Social media. Know your way around an instant gram? Cool. Linked it In once or twice in your time? Even better. Set up and run ads through Facebook Business? Say no more. 
  • Mailchimp. Know how to put together a newsletter? Perfect. 
  • Google is a big word, but if you have a handle on the essentials like My Business, some exposure to ads and how SEO works then you may be who we are searching for. 
  • Admin. Know the difference between the G-Suite and the G-Spot? Good, because we’d prefer not to explain either of them to you. Also, grammer and punctuation are non-negoshibbel, we don’t mind the odd mistake as long as it really is odd and not the ordinary.
