Robyn from Sustainable Buildings Research Centre
What does a day look like for you at the moment?
Sunrise walk before settling into the "office" which is the dining table 3 days per week and the research centre 2 days.
What changes have you had to make to keep operating? Do you think these will remain in place in the longer term?
Different ways of communicating to try and keep the team together in spite of working remotely. Possibly not as it is not the same quality of communication that we could have in the kitchen briefly while making a cuppa.
What is something you recently did that you will do differently next time? Why will you do it differently?
I tried making sauerkraut for the first time and would be more adventurous with flavours next time :)
Many businesses have been affected by COVID-19. Which business have you been most impressed with during this time? Why?
The charities who are coming to the aid of those doing it tough who have really ramped up to meet the need or the businesses who in spite of their own struggle are generously feeding people and keeping spirits up, both groups are keeping hope alive through genuine acts of kindness.
What is inspiring you at the moment? Are you watching, reading, listening or creating anything new?
Brene Brown podcast for a greater understanding of the collective grief we feel at the moment around the world along with other insights and coping strategies. Along with the Fifth Estate Podcast who they provide insight into what is happening for the industry at the moment but also how this difficult moment could be a catalyst for positive changes going forward.
Which business would you like to hear from next? And, what would you like to ask them?
Humber. Your coms were great when this whole thing started putting people first and strategies in place very quickly, so when are you hoping to open again because it would be great to join you for a wine.
